GT 205 dash panel

its got some wears, mostly cosmetic wear, but a couple of the switches are starting to feel loose too. I'm not sure if I should try to replace individual parts or just refresh the whole panel altogether. I've seen a few mods floating around but haven't locked in on what's best for this model yet. anyone redone or upgraded the dash on a GT 205? would love to hear what worked, especially if you went custom or OEM.

That sounds like something I've heard before. If the panel is still in good shape, just changing out those loose Carling switches might fix the issue. But if you want to start fresh, getting a full panel or a custom dash is a solid choice, there are blank OEM panels that you can personalize.I've seen folks choose either route,it really comes down to how far you want to go. Agree with @FiberglassFanatic and also, some opt for a new panel material like marine-grade plastic or aluminum and then choose all new gauges and switches. This lets you upgrade to LED lighting and add modern electronics.

honestly, I'd lean towards doing a full dash refresh. Trying to replace individual parts often leads to mismatched looks, and those loose switches hint at something deeper than just a worn sticker. sure it's more work upfront, but the end result is usually way more satisfying and durable than piecemealing it. Have you looked at any custom CNC-cut panels online? That's what I'd do!

With loose switches plus wear might be a good excuse to refresh the whole panel like what some here recommended. Did yours come with rocker-style switches or toggles? That might guide whether OEM replacements are still okay or if an upgrade's more efficient.
