picked up a V-182 project looking for year info and pics

Just got my hands on an old Glastron V-182 that I plan to restore. I found out it was made under license by a company in Spain, but I can't find much info on them. The colors are blue and white, similar to the 1976 US models. There's even a fire extinguisher in it from 1983, so I know it's at least that old. Does anyone have pictures of a '76 V-182 or know how I can figure out the date from the 4-digit serial number? I'd really appreciate any help

Do you already have restoration ideas in mind?
Anyway, about your concern, the 4-digit serial number unfortunately doesn't encode the year on older boats like yours.
Your best bet for dating it is the HIN or the engine's serial number or other components.
It might also be worth trying to upload a photo of your Glastron and do a reverse image search?

I have the same suggestions as @bow2stern maybe you can try Google image search when trying to find a photo of the boat? and yes, the HIN or the serial number of the engine might help you with your search. best of luck!

I used to own a '78 Glastron back in the day, and I found that the HIN was really the only dependable method to pinpoint the build year. The serial numbers on those older international models were pretty inconsistent. If the engine plate is still legible, I'd recommend checking that as well.
