Thinking of making the 2022 GX 195 our family boat

My brother-in-law's offering us his 2022 Glastron GX 195 with the 4.5L MerCruiser and 100 hours. Upholstery's spotless but it's missing a swim platform and the gelcoat's a little dull. Is it worth adding a platform or should we hold out for a newer GT?

Yes, we decided to go for it and the boat is now officially ours! The input on the gelcoat and the aftermarket platform was invaluable with the decision. We're now planning the upgrades.

Our goal is to get the 2 projects sorted in the next few weeks to enjoy some time on the water before the season winds down. On the gelcoat, is a full buff and wax a job a beginner can manage with a rented buffer or am I better off hiring a professional? Do you also have recos for aftermarket platform brands that are known for a good fit on Glastron boats?
